Struever Brothers (SBER) is an internationally-recognized developer of commercial and residential properties headquartered in Baltimore, MD. The company engaged NetStar-1 to build out their new facility in Baltimore, MD. Our engineering staff provided SBER the design for all network infrastructure deployment including a campus-wide Cisco IP Telephony solution. NetStar-1 thoroughly reviewed the requirements of the SBER project and developed both a scalable and manageable IP Telephony network. NetStar-1 also provides on-call technical assistance and support to SBER for data- and voice-related tasks and troubleshooting.

NetStar-1 Network Architects provided a detailed design of both the Local- and wide-area network infrastructure as well a robust IP Telephony system based on Cisco Systems Call Manager and Ethernet-based IP Telephones. The design was based on a comprehensive review of their existing infrastructure to determine a viable migration plan from SBER’s existing communications equipment to enable all required features and minimize impact to the user community.

Through the course of deployment of the headquarters location and 3 satellite offices, NetStar-1 personnel deployed more that 200 phone handsets. The IP Telephony deployment also integrated Cisco’s Unified Messaging platform to combine voice mail and e-mail into single user interface on the SBER Microsoft Exchange platform.
